I am currently seeking a Design Engineer for an Aerospace component manufacturer based in Bedfordshire.

As a Design Engineer within this organisation, you will work within the R&D Department and hold the responsibly for providing robust manufacturing designs for new concepts and additional product ranges.

Key Responsibilities: -

 Helping to develop existing Aerospace and bespoke design engineered solutions from concept through to finished designs by being involved with strict design reviews throughout each phase of the New Product Introduction process
 Work very closely with other design / certification engineers to assist in delivering projects on time and to budget
 Understand which materials and manufacturing processes are appropriate for each individual design be it cnc machined, castings, vacuum formed, plastic injection moulded etc
 Generate and revise design specifications to meet strict EASA Aerospace standards

Minimum Background required: -

 Strong design and development background with the ability to self certify your own designs to Aerospace standards
 Knowledge of various 3D modelling software
 Good understanding of various materials i.e. metals, composites
 Good understanding of various manufacturing processes i.e. Machining, Casting, Vacuum forming, Plastic injection moulding
 Educated to the minimum of a HNC in a design related field
