I am currently seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to work for an Electro-mechanical product manufacturer in Chelmsford, Essex that supply into a variety of industry sectors including: the Aerospace and Defence.
Located within the quality department, as one of three Quality Engineers, you will be expected to provide support to a variety of internal departments (design, manufacturing, test etc) to meet the strict quality requirements expected by the customers and to meet relevant regulations / legislation.
This will be quite a customer focussed role and your position as Quality Engineer is to ensure that the customers’ expectations are either met or preferably exceeded through efficient planning and quality control. In the event of any discrepancies you will need to ensure that the appropriate investigation takes place and that the appropriate corrective and preventive action is planned, tested and then implemented.
Minimum background: -
• Educated to a HNC in an engineering subject
• Knowledge of various quality management systems including: ISO9001 & AS9100
• Familiarity with a various range of quality tools and methodologies (e.g. APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, 8D, 5S, Kaizen and SPC)
• Knowledge of various different manufacturing processes
