Electrical Maintenance Engineer
£30,000 + Overtime + Bonus + Pension
Peterborough
A manufacturing facility in Peterborough is now seeking an additional multi-skilled maintenance engineer to join their current team working on a rotating 8 hour shift Monday to Friday.
Successful applicants will come from a strong electrical and mechanical background, but an electrical bias is preferred.
You will be responsible for fault-finding on Siemens PLC controlled machinery and associated equipment, general breakdowns and general planned preventative maintenance on a variety of electrical and pneumatic / hydraulic systems and have a good understanding of motor controllers and inverters for the conveyor belts on site.
Please be advised that you must have completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship and hold the relevant NVQ or C&G qualifications to be considered for this role.
If you have additional PLC programming skills then this would put you at a distinct advantage when interviews are being arranged.
This will be working on a 3 shift rotating pattern (basic salary and shift allowance included in the £30,000) but you will probably begin on a day shift to familiarise yourself with the working environment initially. There is plenty of overtime available which is paid at 1.5 times your hourly rate.
