Field Service Engineer
£25,000 - £28,000 + Van
South East
An established packaging machinery company based in the south East is seeking an experienced field service engineer.
The successful service engineer must be able to fault find and diagnose problems on the mechanical/electrical aspect of the equipment. The field service engineer will be required to install and commission new machinery in the field. Also they will need to do modifications or new size formats to the existing machines. They will provide customer support of product knowledge in the field and integrate well as part of the field service engineering team.
The essential experience is as follows:
• ONC Electrical/Electronic qualification
• Apprentice Trained
• Knowledge in fault finding
• Experienced in installation/assembly
• Knowledge of reporting procedures & commissioning
• Experience within high speed packaging environments
• Technical skills on packaging machinery & in the packaging industry
• PLC experience (fault finding & ideally programming)
Desirable Requirements:
• HNC or above
• Servo Drives
• Flow & roll wrap experience
• Programmer skills
This position is based in the UK, and is required to be flexible as there may be overseas work included, a good communicator and is able to prioritise due the time pressures in this high demand environment. This is customer facing role so they must be able to communicate professionally.
