I am currently seeking an experienced Quality Control (QC) Manager for a Northamptonshire based Food Manufacturing facility.
Main Responsibilities
• Full management of Quality Control testing of raw materials and finished goods
• Ensure that customer complaints and all non-conformances are investigated properly using root cause analysis to identify the correct action and the customer is responded to in goods time.
• Oversee the hygiene and maintenance of the Quality Control areas including: equipment / instrumentation servicing and their calibration
• To make sure all departmental documentation is in accordance with BRC and ISO 9001 standards / requirements
• Responsible for all the health & safety and environmental requirements within the Quality Control department
• Support all internal and external auditing
• Head up weekly Quality Control meetings and attend regular Health & Safety and Environmental meetings
• Handling the Quality Control departmental budget
Minimum Background
• Previously headed up or led a Quality Control team within the Food industry
• Knowledge of various Laboratory techniques
• Strong I.T / Documentation / Statistical / Reporting skills
• Strong people management skills and very customer focussed
• Driven individual continuous improvement projects within a QC department / Laboratory
• Strong knowledge of BRC, 9001, H&S and 14001 standards
• Ideally a degree in a scientific or food subject
