I am currently recruiting for a successful FMCG manufacturer in the Home Counties that is now seeking their new Supply Chain Planning and Inventory Control Manager.

This is a key materials planning role within the organisation as you will be required to link all internal departments together as well as liaising externally with customers and suppliers domestically and internationally to improve the inventory efficiency, costs and the economical parameters involved.

You must ensure that raw material requests are clear, achievable and in line with supplier / inventory lead times and works order due dates. In this role you will be overseeing the inventory, materials / demand planning (MRP) and forecasting teams and play a huge part in specific future manufacturing and inventory projects.

You will ideally be degree qualified with a relevant Supply Chain related qualification, but also have at least 5 years experience in a similar role where you have been maintaining and configuring MRP Systems, have significant man management and supplier management / Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) experience which is ideally with multiple sites.

You will also be a capable negotiator with Suppliers and Customers alike as you will also oversee the customer service team indirectly too.

It is essential that you come from a background of dealing with raw materials and products that have an expiry date / shelf life to be considered for this role. This organisation has a lot of different product lines which use 40 + different raw materials which all have different lead times.

In return a basic salary circa £50,000 + 25 days holiday and a contributory company pension scheme is on offer to the right candidate.
