I am currently recruiting a Safety Consultant for a leading Engineering company in Buckinghamshire.

As a Safety Consultant you will be expected to travel to current and prospective customer sites proving a Safety Consultancy service that is second to none.

Main Responsibilities: -

• Managing the safety assessment process which will include conducting risk assessments
• Help to develop the safety services that the organisation currently offers. This will include presenting the capabilities at specific conferences events, seminars and trade shows
• Cost estimating the safety project and helping to create a proposal
• Assist the marketing department in creating glossary and publications
• Communicate information and provide support to any field based teams regarding all safety standards
• Help customers to develop their risk reduction plans and apply policies and procedures in compliance with government laws
• These policies and procedures will include, but are not limited to: Standards of Business Conduct Intellectual Property Control Environment, Information Protection, and ISO: 9000 & 14000, government regulations (e.g. health, safety, quality and environmental), and functional policies.

Minimum Background: -

• Firsthand experience in working with safety legislation, e.g. OSHA, IEC, ISO Safety standards (61508, 61511, 62061, 13849, etc), or relevant equivalents
• Practical experience in of safety legislation within a manufacturing / engineering environment
• Safety Certification in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OHSA) or Certified Functional Safety Expert (CFSE)
• Degree educated in an engineering related discipline
