Their aim is to source 100% British Rye from farms close to our home in Poole where the products are milled and baked.
.An exciting opportunity has now arisen for a technical Manager to manage the Milling Operation for an established and exciting brand. Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be able to quickly get to grips with a wide range of milling challenges to assure a professionally run, efficient operation that demonstrates the highest standards of quality and safety. An expert in their field, the role holder will be familiar with managing stock and comfortable with associated maintenance works required.
The successful candidate will be required to lead a team of Millers, with a responsibility for a budget of £6m. The activities involved will require the role holder to be responsible for projects that are vital for the success of the Mill, drive continuous improvements processes and successfully deliver and support the manufacturing operation on site. You will also need to have a good technical understanding capable of trouble shooting manufacturing issues with equipment within an automated and complex flour mill enviroment.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate experience of applying modern & best practice milling techniques to deliver savings and/or improve services through excellent operational decisions. This role requires the ability to influence and build strong working relationships with senior stakeholders including customers and farmers.
Skills / Experience:
A strong leader with a good level of technical understanding within a senior leadership role, you will have proven strong management skills with the ability to develop a high performing team alongside delivery of results within a changing environment. With a focus on results, you will have the ability to drive and sustain a CI agenda, making good decisions in a fast paced, pressurised environment.
