Salary/Rate: £27000 (Including shift.)
iNTECH are currently recruiting on a sole agency basis for a highly reputable branded food manufacturer for a warehouse team leader.
As a key member of the organisation, you will ensure that all team members are fully trained and performing their duties to a high standard. You will monitor performance and despatch processes, always looking out for ways in which processes can be improved. You will take an active role in audits, change control and ensuring correct use of the in-house systems.
As Warehouse Team Leader, you will be responsible for the processing of all activities relating to the storage, picking, and despatch/shipping of orders. You will be responsible for the allocation and management of people and equipment to assist in completing orders on time whilst ensuring an efficient protocol is established for goods inward.
Key tasks:
• Provide leadership by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices and safety conscious behaviour.
• Create, maintain, communicate and manage through schedules to deadlines.
• Manage inventory accuracy through monitoring of daily warehouse activities, cycle counts, stock takes and audit of same to verify results.
• Establish, maintain and promote high standards of customer service.
• Liaise with drivers, customers and warehouse personnel.
• Ensure compliance with OHS procedures and practices.
• Administration duties as required to ensure daily KPI performance is achieved.
• Stand in for the Manager during Holidays / Sickness as required.
• Plan and coordinate labour (Approx 10 employees) and MHE.
• Coordinate deliveries with carriers to ensure KPIs are achieved.
Skills and Experience:
• Proven experience in Warehouse operations and management of people
• Experience of dealing with import / export duties
• 4 GCSE’s Grade A-C equivalent (desirable)
• Minimum two years experience supervising or managing a small team
