An established manufacturer of special purpose machinery for the food industry are now seeking a self motivated engineer to support the after sales customer service support department.

The customer service engineer will be responsible for supporting needs of their customers machinery, this will involve providing commercial and technical assistance to customers including the identification of required spare parts, providing drawings, parts lists, small projects and general technical support.

You will provide both verbal and written communication preparing proposals for repairs, refurbishments, upgrades and modifications of existing machinery.

Reporting to the after sales manager, you will be part of the sales and service team and have the ability for achieving agreed revenue and targets, In return a bonus scheme is in place to encourage the customer service engineer to identify additional sales opportunities with customers.

Suitable candidates will have a background in engineering either a mechanical or electrical maintenance engineer or service engineer of special purpose machinery who understands the various components and possible faults that may occur who no longer wants to work on the tools and take an in house office based technical role.

Knowledge of servo’s, motors, PLC’s, gear boxes, high speed machinery, precision equipment would be typical for this position.

In house position, seeking an ex engineer who has general knowledge of machinery and associated equipment.

Taking customer orders and producing quotes

ordering of spare parts for engineers

dealing with mini projects and machine upgrades.

component issues

Technical ability to diagnose specific problem and identify required parts.

If can speak another language french, Italian or Spanish would be ideal

working for after sales team be able to follow drawings.

Hours 8.00am til 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 1.00pm Fridays
