Live Events Production Manager

My client is an international design, production and construction company that specialises in a diverse range of projects including awards, fashion, product launches, private parties, exhibitions and TV.
They are seeking an experienced, motivated and hardworking Live Events Production Manager to join their team for an immediate start, either on a permanent or a temp to perm basis.
The position is both office (central London) and site based (mainly London but some travel required) and is full time Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm with regular evening and weekend work. Flexibility with working hours can be negotiated.

Responsibilities:
-Office based pre-production for live events including
*Liaison with clients
*Interpretation of briefs and communicating the brief to the team
*Creating budgets
*Scheduling of crew, trucking, access etc
*Preparing load lists for set, lighting, rigging and site boxes
*Liaising with construction department to ensure correct set build
*Liaising with sub-contractors
*Sourcing and purchasing equipment, props, materials etc as required
*Preparing Health & Safety documents

-On site production including:
*Liaising with clients and venues
*Managing crew
*Troubleshooting

-Post production including:
*Following up all paperwork, signing off invoices
*Reconciling budgets
*Debriefing the relevant team

Essential Skills & Experience:
*Demonstrated experience in a similar role within the events industry
*Technical production skills for live events including:
1.Knowledge of set build equipment and processes
2.Knowledge of lighting and rigging equipment and processes
*Confident reading floor plans, construction drawings
*Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel and Office Suite
*High level of attention to detail for both office and site work
*Excellent communication oral and written communication skills\
*Approachable, flexible, calm under pressure and decisive
*Able to be autonomous and work with little guidance
*Costing, quoting and pitching skills
*Working with art department / designers on floor plans, designs etc
*Taking designs and breaking down set and technical elements to cost
*Preparing quotes
*Basic knowledge of Vector works or Auto Cad and Sketch Up would be advantageous but not essential
