Description: Field Service Engineer - Scientific Instruments
£35 to £40,000 + £500 Car allowance
A leading scientific instrumentation supplier of products used within the chemical processing, pharmaceutical and food industry are now seeking multi-skilled engineer to service and install their products.
You should be multi-skilled with electrical & mechanical fault-finding capabilities; some experience in servicing equipment used within the medical or scientific sector would be an advantage. The ideal candidate will hold a recognised engineering qualification (ONC / HNC Electronics / Electrical / Mechanical), experience in a field service role and have a full clean driver's license.
Flexible, independent and pragmatic, you would be able to work alone with minimal supervision.
This is an expanding role within the Company, with opportunities to grow with this sector of the business. It will involve on-site, preventative maintenance and service, as well as in-house repairs with involvement in new projects & installations.
Field Service and preventative maintenance on the company's control system, sampling systems, filtration systems and associated products.
Site Acceptance Testing on new projects/installations.
In house service and rebuilding of dissolved sensors.
Preparation of quotations, procedures and documentation for service and preventative maintenance contracts.
Bring in new service and preventative maintenance contracts.
The majority of work would be in the UK and Ireland with frequent travel within Europe.
This role would suit an experienced field service engineer who understands instrumentation, HMI's, MMI software and can commission, service install, and fault find equipment associated to control systems and machinery.
