Description: An established engineering organisation, based in Hertfordshire, who have been involved in the designing and manufacturing of temperature control systems for more than 60 years are looking for an experienced Assembly Fitter to join the team. You will be working for a company that have built and maintained a 1st Class Reputation within the Engineering sector.
£23,000 - £25,000 Basic Salary (Dependent Upon Experience)
Overtime (When Required)
20 Days Holiday (Plus 8 Bank Holidays)
You will responsible for the assembly of temperature control valves, actuators and controllers to a consistently high standard.
You will be working from engineering drawings, specifications and be able to follow assembly procedures.
You will be overhauling and repairing used equipment and products.
You will be ensuring all job-related documentation and assembly checklists are completed as each job progresses.
You will be adhering to the Company's health and safety procedures, and working at all times in a safe and environmentally-friendly manner.
You will be supervising any other staff who may be seconded into the Assembly Shop to support the assembly function during periods of high workload.
Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering arrangement drawings, part lists and procedures.
Experienced mechanical fitter with at least 5 years hands-on experience of medium-heavy metallic product assembly.
Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
Ability to work on own initiative and maintain self-motivation.
Willingness to help out in other areas of the business when necessary and be a good team player.
NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering (or other similar qualification.
Experience of simple electrical product assembly.
Experience of pressure testing valves, pipes or other flange-connected products.
