A leading company providing solutions and setting standards for industry has an exciting position for a rapidly growing new division for smart home and smart buildings technology.
Our client delivers a range of services and projects for stakeholders across the built environment and telecoms technology providers. Part of this service includes the research of the latest smart home technology and communication protocols associated with this equipment ensuring the correct standards and certifications are put in place and the manufacturer's products deliver to customer's expectations.

We are seeking a degree qualified senior electronics engineer who has experience within telecoms ideally mobile communications and progressed into a project management or departmental management position.

You will be supporting a small team of electronic engineers managing a number of research projects and reporting back to stakeholders within the business and other organisations.
You will be involved in the detailed research into gaining a full understanding of the following product and technology.

*Internet of things (IoT), Machine-to-machine (M2M), Connected Home, Smart Home, Connected Building, Smart Building, Smart Metering, Smart Cities
*Building management systems (BMS), Building Automations & Control Systems (BACS), Energy Management Systems (EMS)
*Monitoring, automation, control, intelligent systems, predictive
*Connectivity, wireless, radiocommunications, telecommunications, wireless area networks (WAN), home area networks (HAN)
*Interoperability standards - Zigbee, Zwave, Thread, 4G, 5G, KNX, Zigbee, Bluetooth, WiFi, Bacnet, Lonworks, Modbus, LoRa, Sigfox
Key skills for this role will include the following;

*Degree qualification in electronics related subject
*Good understanding of the latest smart technologies for homes and buildings
*Experience of leading projects and/or performing a lead technical role
*Good communication and presentation skills

*Proactive and self-motivated
