This role as a Facilities Reliability Engineer will give you the responsibility for providing support to ensure the effective operation of utilities, building services and building fabric to reduce breakdowns and minimise any downtime and disruption to production.

Main Responsibilities: -

*Provide technical expertise and subject matter knowledge which relates to the design and maintenance of utilities, building services and the building fabric
*Provide assistance and guidance in the resolution of equipment failures and operational performance issues, including analysis and reporting as required
*Develop maintenance strategies, including service contracts, by providing understanding and knowledge of operational needs, equipment performance, maintenance costs, downtime and reliability, including detailed analysis and reporting as required
*Coordinate the inspection of Pressurised Systems and Lifting Equipment, and ensure that the written schemes and registers are up to date - HSE L122 (INDG 261) - Pressure Systems Safety and Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment regulations
*Act as the Deputy Responsible Person for Legionella control and be responsible for day to day oversight of the control scheme - HSE L8, HSG274 - Legionella control
*Control the Loss Prevention Insurance Impairment Notification system
*Supervise the safe operation and maintenance of the steam boiler system - HSE INDG436 - Safe management of industrial steam and hot water boilers.
*Be involved in continuous improvement activities and support the installation and modification of new equipment and systems
*Where required participate in pre-delivery inspections, factory acceptance tests, design reviews, vendor audits, commissioning and qualification
*Develop solutions when it is identified that reliability is impacted by failure of utilities, building fabric and building services
*Ensure that outside contractors are managed in accordance with the procedures of the Company
*Lead investigations into major utilities, building services, and building fabric failures and incidents using, undertake root cause analysis and provide written feedback

Background I am seeking in you:

*Have an in depth knowledge of utilities and building services, including maintenance strategies and energy efficiency
*Have a detailed knowledge of a GMP environment, validation protocols and other regulations and their impact on utilities and building services
*Be able to work with people, be a problem solver and have the techniques to identify problems and find solutions
*Be up to date with documentation relating to maintenance activities
*A thorough understanding of how to manage plant reliability, spares materials management, asset management tools and techniques
*To have gained GMP experience you will need to have worked in either Pharmaceutical, Food or Packaging manufacturing
