Location - Fareham
Basic salary £46'000-£50'000 + yearly bonus (always 4 figures) + Car + Fuel Card + Pension + death in service + 33 days holiday
My client provides Mechanical and Electrical projects for the Building Services industry. Having been trading for over 40 years, the company has continued to gain success year on year. Due to continued success my client is looking to recruit a Quantity surveyor to join the company.
As a quantity surveyor you will be required to support projects from pre-contract to final account. You must have a good eye for detail and an understanding of Mechanical and Electrical projects.
The role of Quantity Surveyor is key to the company's future development and success in delivering success. projects are spread across Southern England, mainly Bristol to Brighton, south of M25. Likely to be 2 days a week on site, 3 in the office.
*Post tender negotiations to take a bid to contract status
*Maintain contract documentation and advise on pre tender and post contract matters
*Preparation and issue of contractual letters to clients and / or sub-contractors
*Carry out take offs for material procurement
*Sub-contract negotiation and letting
*Preparation and submission of interim valuations
*Agreement and certification of sub-contractors interim valuations and final accounts
*Preparation and submission of client final account
*Agreement of final accounts
*Program management and evaluation
*Degree in quantity surveying/commercial management or 5 years' experience in a similar role
*Ability to work as part of a team supporting both the operational team and peer group.
*Manage numerous activities across several projects simultaneously
