Summary: To further strengthen the Commercial team, they are looking for a new Commercial Manager – Smart Energy. This role is to focus on contract negotiation, contract maintenance and commercial support to the sales team and Service Level Agreements. Contracts are multi-million in value and vary in size and duration too.
Reporting to the Commercial Director, this is a cross functional Commercial Management role focusing on both SMART and traditional Metering and their associated ancillary products.

This organisation is a UK market leader in Home and Commercial Automation Control Systems and they are now seeking an experienced Commercial/Contracts Manager to handle Smart Energy Metering and Energy Management Solutions.
With the SMART Energy sector expecting to grow in 2017, there is a real focus on Commercial excellence, which needs to be achieved through contract negotiations and the continued maintenance of key business supplier contracts.
To further strengthen the Commercial team based at Stafford, they are looking for a new Commercial Manager - Smart Energy. This role is to focus on contract negotiation, contract maintenance and commercial support to the sales team and Service Level Agreements. Contracts are multi-million and vary in size.
Reporting to the Commercial Director, this is a cross functional role focusing on both SMART and traditional Metering and their associated ancillary products.
Key Responsibilities: -
*Assist in the management of Sales Engineers to ensure the achievement of the sales revenue against the forecast
*Support and lead contractual and commercial enquiries and contract negotiations
*Ensure compliance and maintenance of all supplier agreements
*Assist in securing sales forecasts and generate customer related reports to feed to the Commercial Director
*Create new internal KPI's and external standards of service to ensure customer satisfaction
*Assist in the management of external KPI's and SLA's
*Interface with key stakeholders to ensure the Commercial obligations and objectives are delivered to secure sustainable growth
*Manage the transfer prices and ensure selling prices comply with margin requirements
*Fulfil the role of Key Account Manager for major SMART Energy Customers
*Represent the Commercial Director where needed
*Enhance the reputation of the organisation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; ensuring that their commercial position is safeguarded
*Read, research, review and verify commercial agreements and associated correspondence, reports and legal documents; drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information
Background I am seeking in you: -
*Worked in a previous Commercial Management role with supply contract / framework agreements
*Background in Contract negotiations
*You don't need specific experience of Smart Metering, but you will need transferrable experience from the UK Energy Sector
*This could have been gained from an Energy supplier, Energy transmission, Energy distribution, smart manufacturing etc
*Excellent stakeholder management skills
*Experience of leading a Commercial & Business Development function
*Be results driven with the ability to understand and interpret the demands and requirements of customers
*The ability to create succinct and accurate business reports
*Be analytical with great attention to details
