Junior Project/Process Engineer
Summary: Would you like to take a brand-new Engineering position in a Peterborough based Manufacturer?
Description: I am seeking a Junior level Project/Process Engineer to join a Peterborough based Manufacturing facility.
Would you like to take a brand-new position in an organisation?
Please be advised that this is not a graduate role and you will need to show proven demonstrable experience in the key areas highlighted below. The salary bracket for this position is £25,000-£28,000.
What this organisation can offer you though is the chance to do something a bit different; and join a company where you will be directly involved in the setting up of a brand-new manufacturing site!
How exciting does that sound?
You will be joining a small Project Engineering team who are involved in implementing six sigma methodologies into their expanding processes, and supporting the drive for understanding controlling factors, minimising waste, improving process up-time and creating standard operating procedures in support of their quality systems
If that part of the role doesn't sound interesting enough, then wait for this - after your initial training at their existing site in Peterborough, you will then be directly involved in a specific project to help set up a new site in Peterborough, from scratch.
This will involve the factory acceptance testing of new equipment, the commissioning of new machinery after installation, and associated planning activities.
Externally you will work with various manufacturers of special purpose machinery and associated equipment as well as material suppliers too.
I think that this role would be perfectly suited to an Engineer who has had relevant exposure in a similar role and is now looking for their second role post graduate where they can develop and grow. You will have worked in a hands-on manufacturing environment solving practical problems and hold an Engineering or Science related degree.
In you this innovative client is seeking a background of theory and practical experience to include: -
Demonstrable experience of manufacturing tools including 6-sigma, FMEA, Control plans SMED &/or MSA
Application of problem solving methods such as Root Cause Analysis techniques
Knowledge of industrial process control and continuous improvement
Knowledge of lean manufacturing methods
Knowledge of controlling factors, minimising waste, improving process up-time and creating standard operating procedures
Strong analytical skills, including experience of statistical analysis
Methodical with a structured approach
The ability to be versatile and to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail
