£39,500 - £46,000 DOE with an excellent flexible benefits package to accompany
Based in Cambridge and working in a GMP environment

This role as their Electrical Systems Reliability Engineer will give you the responsibility for providing maintenance support to ensure the effective operation of all of the electrical equipment and associated systems. Your role will help to reduce the frequency of machine breakdowns and minimise downtime and manufacturing disruption and ensure compliance with electrical wiring and machine safety regulations.

Main Responsibilities: -

*Undertake the role of Company Electrical Appointed Person and be responsible for sanctioning competent personnel to carry out electrical duties, setting standards for safe electrical work and the management of statutory testing of fixed installations and portable equipment
*Provide your technical expertise and subject matter knowledge which relates to the design and maintenance of electrical equipment and associated systems
*Provide technical assistance and guidance in the prompt resolution of equipment failures and operational performance issues to include analysis and reporting
*Contribute to the development of maintenance strategies by providing a thorough understanding and knowledge of operational needs, equipment performance, maintenance costs, downtime and reliability
*Undertake continuous improvement activities and support the installation and modification of new equipment and systems
*Participate, as required, in pre delivery inspections, factory acceptance tests (FAT), design reviews, vendor audits and commissioning
*Develop a suitable solution when it has been identified that the reliability is impacted by obsolescence and the failure of an electrical system
*Ensure that outside Contractors are managed in accordance with the Company procedures
*Lead investigations into major electrical failures and incidents

Background I am seeking in you:

*Have a detailed knowledge of GMP, validation protocols and other regulations and their impact on electrical systems and equipment
*Thoroughly understand electrical systems and equipment, including maintenance strategies, energy efficiency and the awareness of developing technologies
*Be an excellent problem solver
*Understand how to manage plant reliability, spares materials management, asset management tools and techniques through a CMMS
*To have gained GMP experience you will need to have worked in either Pharmaceutical, Food or Packaging manufacturing
