Job title: Detector Engineer.

Area: North East.
My client an award winning developer of semiconductor materials and advanced technology products is looking for a Detector Engineer to join their expanding team in the North East.
The ideal candidate will possess a PHD or MSc in a Physics, Applied Physics or Physics Electronics discipline with experience of testing radiation detectors and an understanding of low level analogue electronics.
Key Requirements.
• PHD or MSc in Physics, Applied Physics or Physics Electronics.
• Experience of testing radiation detectors.
• Experience of a customer driven environment.
• Understanding of low level analogue electronics.
Key Responsibilities.
• Developing test equipment for detector research and customer based testing.
• Development of materials testing technologies to enable prediction of detector responses.
• Research and define the inter-relation between detector design, assembly and packaging and measurable test outputs.
In summary the successful candidate will have experience and understanding of the above responsibilities/requirements and will possess a PHD or MSc in a Physics, Applied Physics or Physics Electronics discipline with experience of testing radiation detectors and an understanding of low level analogue electronics.
