Molecular Biologist

Job title: Molecular Biologist.

Salary/Rate: £27-30,000 (pro rata)

Area: Oxfordshire.

My client an expanding Biotechnology company based in Oxfordshire are currently seeking a molecular biologist to join their team on a 6 month fixed term contract (possibly 9 months depending on circumstances).

Ideal candidates will have a degree or higher qualification in a relevant biological sciences discipline with practical laboratory experience using molecular biology techniques.

Key Requirements.

• Experience of purifying proteins using AKTA purification systems.
• Practical laboratory experience of cloning DNA for recombinant proteins into expression vectors.
• Practical laboratory experience of standard molecular biology and biochemical techniques e.g. Plasmid DNA purification, PCR, western blotting, SDS-PAGE, ELISA assays.
Desirable Requirements.

• Postgraduate practical research experience.
• Experience of drug discovery.
• Experience within the field of Oncology.
