Global Project Manager

GLOBAL PROJECT MANAGER for NPI
Circa £50,000 + excellent company benefits although the role might be considered as a long term contract for the right candidate
Location: Home Counties (Excellent road and rail links)

Due to ongoing expansion, an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of electro-mechanical products and sub systems is now seeking an experienced Project Manager to work internationally.

The successful candidate will have a variety of responsibilities including: -

• Managing international projects (R&D and Manufacturing)
• Overseeing the responsibility for delivering multiple NPD and NPI projects utilising global cross-functional teams for the design and development of high-volume sub assemblies / electro-mechanical products
• The certification of schematics
• Ensure projects adhere to the planned timescales, projected budgets and deliver to their intended objectives
• Organising and submitting approvals to suppliers and 3rd party manufacturers for sub assemblies

Ideal background

• A strong degree or equivalent in a relevant subject (for example mechanical or electronic engineering)
• A minimum of 10 years practical work experience within a high-volume, low cost manufacturing environment
• Strong NPI / NPD project management experience
• The ability to handle simultaneous projects
• Knowledge of various manufacturing processes including Plastics injection moulding / polymers, fabrication, CNC machining, PCBA
• An additional European language would be advantageous
