Description: Applications Engineer - Bio Reactor Controllers
£35 to £40,000 + £500 Car allowance
Our client, a supplier of scientific devices and specialist equipment used within the process control and automation industry predominantly laboratory and chemical processing, are now seeking a skilled applications engineer or product specialist to support their range of bioreactor control systems.
Suitable candidates will be able to liaise with customers on a scientific level support technical queries about Bioreactors, Filtration systems, Fermentation vessels and associated control systems. You will be able to identify issues and provide solutions to resolve these issues; you will also be required to conduct site visits throughout the UK and Ireland and at times within Europe.
Ideal candidates will be a good all-rounder with excellent communication skills, problem-solving and the ability to also install service, repair and commission equipment. Candidates with a degree in biomedical engineering or science who have excellent knowledge of bioreactors, filtration systems of fermentation processes will be a good match for this position.
Other duties will include;
Training end users on product and applications
Responding to any technical enquiries
Assisting with local marketing campaigns
Liaising with the Management and technical teams in terms of any feedback or issues
About you: A degree in life sciences or equivalent is desirable; a degree in chemistry/biochemistry or equivalent can be considered
Previous work experience in the lab filtration area
Strong customer focus
Proficient communication and interpersonal skills
Team player and capable of working with international stakeholders
Capable of explaining technical issues and understanding the nature of customers' needs
